10 reasons why a SQUID invert roller?

Keeping it simple: Our Invert roller speargun have been tuned & designed for Europe's reef hunting- one set of bands is all you need for a fast shaft release and accuracy.

01

Near-Zero Recoil: The opposing movement of the pulleys and bands moving backward toward the handle counters the forward momentum of the shaft, eliminating kickback (recoil) for maximum stability. The shot feels smooth and less violent than other spearguns making the shot accurate.

02

Clean line of slight- no rubbers blocking the view down the barrel.. they're on the bottom. All you see is the shaft and the loading wishbone.

03

One pair of pre-tensioned bands, that don't need hooking on or pre-loading - no faffing about, just pull the wishbone onto the spear notch.. it's that simple!

04

Our rigging is simple (one set of bands) and always pre-tensioned when in use, so no tangles here.

05

The unique rigging set up allows self levelling pull of both bands, so one side isn't under more tension than the other.

06

‍Superior Accuracy: The absence of recoil keeps the barrel completely still upon release, resulting in exceptionally precise shots and a flat shaft trajectory.

07

‍Maximum Power in a Shorter Barrel: By utilizing rubber bands underneath the barrel via a mechanical pulley system, it delivers the range and penetration of a much longer traditional gun without sacrificing manoeuvrability.

08

‍Better Balance and Tracking: Positioning the heavy bands further back along the barrel improves weight distribution, perfectly horizontally balanced in the water, making the gun easier aim and swing underwater.

09

The pulleys gives you a mechanical advantage- Fast & easy to load, no struggle, no bruising chest.

SQUID invert roller in detail

Video shows you the workings of the SQUID invert roller.

How easy it is to take off the bands for storage and how effortless it is to load

…it’s not complicated!

note; the speargun line is routed down the side of the barrel, out of the way of the bands, for a clean and hassle free operation.

Invert speargun:

  • An invert roller speargun is a speargun where the rubber bands sit on the underside of the barrel and pull backwards using a pulley system, driving the spear shaft forward with higher efficiency and lower recoil than traditional guns

SQUID invert spearguns use HT Inverter muzzle;

The muzzle is one of the extraordinary works of good design.

It’s design allows for an extremely low weight at 59 grams and a compact shape.

This muzzle is more than just a replacement part; it significantly enhances the speargun´s capabilities. The Delrin construction ensures exceptional durability and resistance to wear and tear, while the design promotes smooth line release and pinpoint accuracy. The HT Inverter system optimizes line management for increased speed and range, giving you a decisive advantage in the hunt.

We use top-quality Riffe 600lb Spectra wishbones and Dyneema SK68 rigging to ensure they last for many spearfishing trips.

Each pully is self levelling so even pull on both sides gives a perfect shot.

SQUID Invert Spearguns have been finely tuned for British & European reef hunting

Not too overpowered but still delivers more punch and longer range shots than a conventional sling superguns.

The shot feels smooth and less violent than other spearguns making the shot accurate.
